Thrust Ball Bearings

Spherical roller bearings are designed to accommodate heavy axial loads in one or two directions and are used in applications that require smooth, low-friction rotation in the axial direction. These bearings consist of two washers (flat rings) and a set of balls held between the cage.

 

Spherical roller bearings come in two main types:

  • Single-way spherical roller bearings: which only accommodate axial loads in one direction.
  • Double-way spherical roller bearings: which are capable of accommodating axial loads in both directions.

 

These types of bearings are very suitable for applications where there are no radial loads and only axial loads are involved.
